Question: Why won’t she meet me? I’ve been talking to a girl online for about a month now. We text every single day, sometimes all day long. I really, really like her and think I’m falling for her, but she says she’s not ready to meet me yet. What does that even mean? Is she playing me?

Answer: So sorry to hear this! It is certainly frustrating and disappointing to be in this situation. I can’t be sure of the reason why she will not meet you. All we know is that something is blocking her from moving forward with you–whether it is another guy or just her own fears.

It is not healthy for you to keep texting with her daily and getting your hopes up about meeting. I would suggest backing off a bit so that in time her feelings may catch up with yours. So start texting less. Don’t pressure her to meet. But as the weeks pass on, approach the topic again and try to get an honest answer out of her.

If she can’t give you such, it may be time to move on to someone who is just as excited to meet you as you are to meet her.
