Dr. Donna RISOLO is an educator, consultant and researcher with a doctorate in education from Columbia University. She has worked with adolescents and their parents for more than twenty years.
She is the founder of The Teen Talk Mission, an organization that seeks to improve the lives of young people by improving adult-teen communication through publications, social media, training for educators and youth development professionals, and coaching for parents of teens.
Grounded in her years of observation and theorizing, Dr. Donna’s Five Layer Method for Building Rapport and Trust with Teenagers intends to both inspire and challenge parents and adults who work with teens to rethink the communication choices they make in order to build healthier relationships with teens. Her message ultimately serves a larger purpose – to spread hope and healing to families and teenagers.
As a monthly contributor to www.theteenmentor.com, Dr. Donna provides advice to teens on a variety of topics from how to communicate effectively with your parents to college admissions tips.
