Question: I love a girl from a different religion. Her parents have warned me not to see her after finding out about our relationship. I have no connection with her now, but we really do love each other. What should we do?

Answer: First off, realize that you are not alone. Tons of people had this problem before you and tons will continue to have this problem. When you want to be with someone and her family does not approve of you, it is really difficult to have a relationship.

If the love is strong enough on both ends, sometimes, the relationship can work. But sometimes, even when two people truly love each other, their families make it so difficult that they can not find a way to happily be together.

You are young. Do you think pursuing this relationship makes sense for the long term if her family strongly disapproves? Do you think it will actually work out? Or do you think it is not worth her risking her relationship with her family?

These are questions for you to think about and decide what is best for you and for her. Personally, I think that you can love another girl in the future whose family would not oppose the relationship. I think this would be a better choice for you, and I would recommend that you do not initiate contact any longer and move on.

I know it is hard, but it may be better in the long run!
