Consistently consistent!
When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation. -Arsene Wenger
This week I got to sit down with two remarkable young gentleman that are successful Youtubers. Chris Chase and Jarron Ramos. I learned about them from my buddy Rob Pinkston who is an avid sneaker collector. They guys have found a way to make money talking about basketball shoes and reviewing the performance aspect of the shoes online. Pretty cool lane they’ve created for themselves.
Chris and Jarron are both avid basketball fans and love to play the game themselves. I thought it was very cool how they have been able to build a career and lifestyle around their passion… I mean that is the dream right?!
One big thing I took away from this sit down was the importance of consistency, especially when building a following online. For a long time people aren’t going to care about what you create and you have to be able to learn to be okay with that.
Another takeaway that I believe a lot of people could learn from is the best way to handle hate online. Whether you like it or not, dealing with idiots on the internet is something you will probably have to deal with in the modern world.
We shared a lot of laughs and good stories on this podcast and there are some valuable life lessons sprinkled in there along the way. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
In the full episode, you will learn:
- how to tune out haters
- why consistency is key
- the power of persistence
- how to turn your side hustle to your job
